Hainan: Infinity Pools and Endless Views

The Sanya Nanshan Daxiaodongtian Tourism Zone, historically known as Aoshan Daxiaodongtian, is located on the northwest side of Nanshan Mountain, 40 kilometers west of Sanya City, Hainan Province. It lies between longitudes 109°09′–109°13′ E and latitudes 18°17′–18°19′ N, covering a total area of 22.5 square kilometers. It is a comprehensive tourist area centered around "Grotto-Heavens and Blessed Lands, Spectacular Sea and Mountain Scenery," with main themes featuring Taoist culture, longevity culture, and South China Sea dragon culture. It integrates wedding services, science and study tours, coastal leisure, aerial sightseeing, and maritime experiences.

Wuzhizhou Island, historically known as "Guqizhou" and "Niuqizhou Island," has the standard place name "Niuqizhou," while "Wuzhizhou Island" is the common name used by locals. It is situated within Haitang Bay in the northern part of Sanya City, Hainan Province, bordering Yalong Bay to the south and facing Lingshui Nanwan Monkey Island to the north across the water. Covering an area of 1.48 square kilometers and shaped like an inverted sticky rice dumpling (zongzi), it is one of the few small hilly islands surrounding Hainan Island that possesses fresh water resources and lush vegetation. The highlands of the island are covered with weeds and thickets, while the lowlands are abundant with coconut trees.

Fenjiezhou Island is located on the waters southeast of Hainan Island in Lingshui Li Autonomous County, Hainan Province. It is approximately 1.2 nautical miles from the nearest coast, about 70 kilometers from Sanya, and about 180 kilometers from Haikou. The island covers an area of about 0.41 square kilometers, with a highest elevation of about 100 meters, and is distributed in a long, saddle shape extending from northeast to southwest.

The Baoting Yanoda Rainforest Cultural Tourism Zone is located in Sandao Farm, Sandao Town, Baoting Li and Miao Autonomous County, Hainan Province. With a total area of 45 square kilometers and initially established in 2008, it is a large-scale sightseeing, leisure, and vacation tourism area based on natural landscapes. It integrates cultures such as "rainforest culture, Li settlement culture, southern medicine culture, and zodiac culture," combining "rainforest sightseeing, cultural customs, leisure experiences, and health and wellness."

The Baoting Hainan Binglanggu (Betel Nut Valley) Li and Miao Cultural Tourism Zone is located within the Ganshiling Nature Reserve at the boundary of Baoting Li and Miao Autonomous County and Sanya City, Hainan Province. With a planned area of over 5,000 mu, construction started in 1998. It is a Li and Miao cultural experience and sightseeing tourism zone that uses the tropical rainforest ecological environment as its base and is characterized by the folk customs of Li villages and Miao stockades.

The Sanya Tianya Haijiao Scenic Area, also known as the Tianya Haijiao Scenic Area, is located 23 kilometers southwest of Sanya City, Hainan Province, at the foot of Maling Mountain in Tianya District. It covers a total area of 16.50 square kilometers, including a land area of 10.4 square kilometers and a sea area of 6 square kilometers. It is a scenic area themed around the Tianya Haijiao culture and love culture. It is named after two giant rocks in the scenic area that are inscribed with "Tianya" (Edge of the Sky) and "Haijiao" (End of the Sea), as well as the inscription "Tianya Haijiao Scenic Area" written by Mr. Guo Moruo.

Hainan Ding'an County Jiuwentang Cold Spring is located in Jiuwentang Village, Longmen Town, Ding'an County, 73 kilometers from Haikou and 32 kilometers from Qionghai. This cold spring formed in a Late Pleistocene volcanic rock landform area where volcanic rock fissures and pores are well-developed. The groundwater temperature remains between 23℃ and 25℃ year-round, with a daily self-flow volume reaching 40,000 cubic meters, making it the volcanic cold spring with the largest flow rate in China. The spring water is of the sodium bicarbonate-calcium-magnesium type and contains elements such as selenium, germanium, and metasilicic acid; its water quality meets the standards for drinking natural mineral water and possesses mud therapy value. The surrounding area is densely vegetated with many banyan trees, and the largest cold spring pool can accommodate 10 people for soaking.

The Sanya Yalong Bay Tourist Resort is located in Sanya City, Hainan Province, China. It was officially designated as a National Tourist Resort in January 2018 and is a National 4A-level Tourist Attraction, covering an area of 18.6 square kilometers.

Fushan Coffee Cultural Town is located in Fushan Town, Chengmai County, which is famous as a "hometown of longevity." It is one of the earliest regions in Hainan Province to grow coffee and is the first cultural tourism town in the country themed around coffee. In 1935, Indonesian overseas Chinese Chen Xianzhang founded Fumin Farm in Fushan Town and successfully introduced coffee cultivation, initiating the history of local coffee industrialization.

The Muse Lake Tourism and Vacation Scenic Area is a provincial-level scenic area located in Fengmu Town in the southwest of Tunchang County, Hainan Province, established with approval in 1993. The scenic area covers an area of approximately 28 square kilometers and contains two main bodies of water: Muse Lake and Leigongtan Lake.
